Sioux Center’s growth and modernization has been steady through the years, with population growing to about 8,273 residents, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. Ideally located in northwest Sioux County, Iowa, Sioux Center is close to Interstates 29 and 90, allowing business and industry to continue to expand. Agriculture is the root of Sioux Center and still supports the rural population with ag-related businesses. Sioux Center’s educational options are strong, and commerce and industry continue to thrive. Parks, trails, underground electric and telephone lines, fiber optic cable, well-kept neighborhoods, and vibrant landscaping make Sioux Center an attractive city to visit or call home.

This friendly community offers everything from a 7-mile recreation trail through town, an 18-hole professional golf course, the All Seasons Center indoor/outdoor pool and ice arena facility, and a movie theater, to bountiful choices for shopping and dining. Sioux Center is home to Dordt University, a private Christian college that is a leader in engagement and education and helps drive the community’s advancement.
